Talking Kathak

A solo dance performance by Guru Pratap Pawar,
exploring Kathak — its past, its present and
its future. Pratap illustrated the development of
Kathak from its origins in the Hindu temples,
through the Rajput courts, the Mogul courts and
the British Raj — contextually looking at the
influence on politics, religion, society and
India’s heritage.
